The SCAR-SD is a high efficiency, ultra-compact, fast attach silencer for 5.56mm rifles, carbines, and machine guns. Although it was conceived and designed for use on a precision rifle system, the SCAR-SD is equally at home on compact 5.56mm CQB weapons and light machineguns with barrels of 9.0 inches or more. The internal design of the SCAR-SD all but eliminates muzzle flash and reduces the sound signature below the pain threshold and reduces the risk of hearing damage. The M4-2000 fast attach mounting system is used to achieve a rock solid interface between the SCAR-SD and the host firearm. The diminutive size of the SCAR-SD adds a scant 3.5” to the overall length of the host firearm with little effect on the balance or handling characteristics.
